Marriage Actually - An honest look at marriage

My name is Kerri, and I’m the female half of this breeder couple (I thought I should clear that up, seeing as how Cory inadvertantly said that I, too, am a really funny guy. not that there’s anything wrong with that…. :P ).

I’m not sure exactly how this blog will take shape. What I do know is that Cory and I have 15 years (almost 10 of them married) worth of fun memories, laughter, silliness, mistakes, arguments, misunderstandings, and more from which to pull material for this blog. That’s not to say that this is a place for us just to spill our memories and hope you’ll read. That sounds wicked boring, yeah?

My hope is that you will find honest conversation about marriage here. There’s no point in pretending that life in marriage is always perfect and that you should act like it no matter the reality. I don’t think that benefits anyone, right? I also think that it’s good to celebrate the great things that do come out of marriage. Through all the ups and downs we’ve had, I truly love my marriage. I hope that comes through.

So, 10 years. Not the longest marriage yet, nor the shortest. Which means we’ve learned some stuff, but have a lot yet to learn. So, I hope you’ll join us in our journey, share conversations with us, tell us when we’ve got it all wrong, and have fun the whole way. :)

btw-It is a bit bittersweet to launch this blog today, as it also marks Hsien’s last day with b5media. The idea for this blog was birthed back when Hsien was the Channel Editor for the Family and Relationships Channel (Steve is now our whipping boy ;) ). Hsien offered up the idea of a marriage blog, mostly to get our banter out of the forums because she just couldn’t take us there, anymore. She also came up with the name as we were brainstorming together one day. Anyway, she’s a big part of why this is here now. Best to you, Hsien. :)
